Planning & Zoning Administrator

The Town of Benson seeks person to work with the planning board in rezoning and special use permit requests and subdivision plans etc. Reviews plans and receives applications for permits. Administers the town’s Minimum Housing Codes, maintains records of inspections and prepares necessary reports. Works with various Town of Benson boards and committees and coordinates the town’s safety program. Graduation from a four year college or university with a degree in Planning or related field supplemented by training in planning; considerable professional experience in planning or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master Degree in City and Regional Planning is a plus. Strong communication, computer skills and GIS experience are a must. Drug Test and Background check required.  Salary Range $43,143-64,715.
