The Public Works Department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 5:00pm.

Phone: 919-894-5864 and has emergency "on-call" workers 24 hours a day.

This department is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all streets and storm drainage structures; ice and snow removal; maintenance to sewer and water lines, including taps and valves, hydrants and town-owned utility pump stations; cutting grass, leaf removal and maintaining town-right of way and painting and repairing the town buildings. Public Works Department works hard to keep up the Town of Benson appearance and takes pride in giving great service to our community.

Cable TV complaints

If you are having problems with your cable service, you may qualify for a credit or refund pursuant to the Franchise Ordinance. A copy of your complaint may be sent to the cable company. If the complaint cannot be resolved, further action may be taken by the Franchising Authority.
