The Public Works Department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and has emergency workers "on-call" 24 hours a day.

The Public Works Department works hard to keep up the appearance of the Town of Benson and takes pride in giving great service to our community. The department's responsibilities include:

– Maintenance and repairs of all streets and storm drainage structures

– Maintenance of sewer and water lines, including taps and valves, hydrants and town-owned utility pump stations

– Ice and snow removal

– Grass cutting, leaf removal and maintaining town-right of way

– Painting and repairing town buildings
